Mold is everywhere – in the air, water, earth, and even in some of the foods we eat. While there are many types of mold that won’t cause harm (blue cheese is a great example), there are still some molds that once activated, can cause severe problems.
Mold in the home can become a huge problem if not properly treated and we recommend mold testing as the place to start. At AdvantaClean of Iredell County, there are two types of mold testing that we perform -- air and surface. Air samples involve passing a sticky surface through the air of your home, while surface samples involve skimming the surface of a mold area. Both send the samples to our lab, where our trusty technicians are able to identify the type of mold.
While it’s true that homes will have mold, it’s only with the addition of moisture and heat that mold can activate, grow, and become hazardous. While mold testing is a great way of determining if you have mold or not, mold testing doesn’t always have to be done. For instance, if you see black spots on your walls or floor, we can have one of our specialists remove it fast.
If you’re not sure if you need to have mold testing performed, give us a call. We’ll send one of our specialists to view the problem area and determine what the next step should be. We pride ourselves on offering quality work and outstanding customer service. We believe in taking care of our customers, not meeting a quota. If you suspect you have a mold problem, call us immediately – we’re here for you.
